Image Cropping

 

Cropping an image allows the user to mask out unwanted parts of an image.

 

To define a crop area:

  1. Select Tools/Cursors/Crop or select the crop icon 

  2. Position the cursor over a corner in the image

  3. Click and drag the mouse to define the cropped image

When you release the mouse button, eRAD PACS hides everything except what is within the defined area. A dotted-line frame appears around the entire image.

 

To resize the area:

  1. Change the cursor to default cursor mode

  2. Move the cursor over the edge of the dotted-line frame until the cursor changes to a bi-directional arrow

  3. Click and drag the mouse to position the edge of the crop area

To pan the area:

  1. Change the cursor to default cursor mode

  2. Left click and drag the defined crop area

 

To remove the crop area:

  1. Drag a new image into the frame

  2. Single-click the mouse wheel button on the image border
