eRAD PACS’s Magic X function will display the same point in all three axes (axial, coronal and sagittal) simultaneously for a study containing multiple series in multiple orientations.
To enable the Magic X cursor:
Click the Magic X icon on the toolbox group
Select Tools/Cursors
To use the Magic X cursor:
Left click and hold on the point of interest on one of the images.
Drag the left mouse button to keep the Magic X cursor.
The user can define the distance from the intersection used as an indication that it is out of range. These Magic X Limit values can be accessed selecting the Tools/Options/Hash Marks page in the Settings window.
The Magic X settings options are:
Dim Magic X - causes eRAD PACS to dim the Magic X icon in the referenced images once the active Magic X icon moves more than N mm away from the closest slice. This happens most often when you reach the end of the series.
Dim Magic X Limit - the numerical value of mm that Magic X icon can move before dimming of icon occurs as referenced above
Disable Magic X - erases the Magic X icon in the referenced image once the active Magic X icon moves more than M mm way from the closest slice.
Disabled Magix X Limit - the numerical value of mm that Magic X icon can move before being erased as referenced above.
