PACS Desktop Viewer
There are a variety of tools available to magnify images:
Apply a zoom factor to the entire image
Pop up a magnifying glass window that magnifies the data behind it
Dynamically magnify an image
Display the image in its actual size
On the bottom right hand corner of the image frame, there will be an applied magnification factor. The image may also be automatically sized to fit inside the frame, which results in the entire image being displayed.
Zoom factors can be applied to an image using the Toolbar Manager. These commands must be added to groups and can be customized on the tools group area. The image below shows some of the zoom factors that can be applied to an image. These are highlighted in the Commands column.
To reset image size:
Select the Fit to window icon
CTRL+ 0 (number)
Select Reset size icon (must be added to main viewer tools)
Interpolation Mode
This mode specifies the interpolation algorithm used when the image is resized.
Options for determining interpolation:
Nearest Pixel - uses a pixel replication algorithm to create new pixels (default)
Bilinear - performs a first order interpolation using the bordering pixel values to replicate the missing pixels.
Note: Bilinear interpolation results in more derived pixel values versus using the nearest pixel algorithm.
When a frame displays images in tile mode other than 1-up, quickly enlarge one particular image to the frame size by double-clicking on the image. To revert back to the NxM tile layout, double click again.
If the current tile mode is 1-up, double-clicking the image changes the grid mode to 1-up. Double-click the image again to restore the original grid layout.
