Importing DICOM Media

Importing studies from DICOM media is available as a native application.

Dependency Notice: eRAD Desktop Apps 8.0.24.4 or newer must be installed on the workstation and viewer version 8.0.32 or newer must be installed on the server/workstation.  See Version Information

To import DICOM media

• Hover over the Import icon  
• Click Media to initiate the eRAD PACS CD/DVD Uploader application
• Select location of media to import in windows explorer
• Click Browse or Browser Files to open windows file explorer to select different media location
• Media content will be displayed as pictured above
• Use checkboxes on the right to exclude listed studies from being imported
• Click Upload to being transfer of studies

NOTE: A drop down menu listing target hub servers when uploading to a server with no local database will be available
NOTE: Studies that already exists on a server will be identified with the following icon

After clicking Upload, a windows notification banner is displayed

The prompt will disappear and a system tray icon is displayed.  Hover over this icon to check the status (percent complete) of the media upload job.

When the upload job has completed, another Windows notification banner will be displayed.
