DICOM Server

DICOM server settings define parameters for DICOM communications. Editing the DICOM SCP settings requires support rights.

To set the DICOM settings:

Go to the Admin/Server Settings
Select DICOM Server
Make the necessary changes
Click the Save icon and Restart

The following settings are available:

Setting	Default	Description
Storage AE Title		Queries sent return information about all the data in the system. Some devices require using a different AE Title when sending and querying a PACS. Alternative AEs can be added by clicking the Add new icon
Query AE Title		Used when a second AE Title is required. Note: In earlier versions of the PACS, the Archive Query AE Title was used to search the entire archive. Existing devices using this configuration can still use the Archive Query AE Title for this purpose.
Preferred transfer syntax	SCU defined	Displays the requested DICOM transfer syntax used when transferring DICOM objects over an established association. Change the default by selecting the preferred value from the list.
Maximum receive PDU size	65536	Displays the requested DICOM transfer syntax used when transferring DICOM objects over an established association, Change default by selecting the preferred value from the list
Send timeout	30 sec	Defaults used for each DICOM association
Receive timeout	30 sec	Defaults used for each DICOM association
Connection timeout	30 sec	Number of seconds a DICOM Association has to get established, from request to confirmation
Wait timeout	30 sec	Number of seconds permitted between PDUs (i.e., DICOM data blocks) before the Association is considered abandoned and terminated
Storescu flag	-R	Flags passed to the application that sends DICOM objects to other AEs.
Case sensitive	Disabled	Enforces case sensitivity on the query parameters
Empty matching	Disabled	Server to include NULL values as successful matches
Query/Retrieve limit	200	Defines the maximum number of matches returned in response to a query request
Remove private tags	Disabled	Removes private tags when forwarding studies to remote DICOM AEs.
Sending updates	Enabled	Forwards updates made to a study that was previously forwarded
Association heartbeat	Enabled	System default setting for keeping DICOM associations open between transmission requests.
Allow fallback to older TLS versions	Disabled	Enable support for weak cyphers. Enabling this setting is not recommended.
