Schedule Order

eRAD PACS automatically receives and registers scheduling and order information from a connected RIS. Creating scheduled orders requires Scheduling rights. Contact the system administrator to request the necessary rights.

To schedule a study:

  1. Select Worklist/Schedule Order

  2. Complete the form

  3. Select the Save icon in lower right corner

Select the Save and Upload icon to upload documents and attach them to this order.

Red lines on the fields indicate required information. If required data is missing, the confirmation page will instruct the user to return to the Scheduling page and enter the missing information. The new scheduled order appears in the worklist. A study will now appear in the Worklist with status Ordered. Information may be added or changed with the Edit icon.

As technologists generate the study images, they will update the status depending on the facility's workflow. These occur before the images appear in the PACS, so they don't reflect image usage status, the first of which is Unviewed.
