Dictation

 

The Dictation page contains the settings that control the tools available for recording dictated reports, including Philips SpeechMike and general microphone controls, foot pedal settings and control of the rewind and fast-forward tools.

Select Speech Recognition Tool None Only tools with valid eRAD license and properly installed third-party software are shown

SpeechMike

 

SpeechMike Default Description
SpeechMike Type None Select the type of the SpeechMike device to use
Control Mode Persistent Select control mode for push button devices
SpeechMike Button Click enabled Plan an audible sound every time a button is pressed on the SpeechMike
SpeechMike Pause Tick enabled Play an audible sound every two seconds when the SpeechMike is in pause mode
Record Start/Stop Tick disabled Plan an audible sound every time the record button is pressed or released
Keep SpeechMike Active enabled Keep the SpeechMike activated when you pause your recording
Select Study using the Record Button disabled If the user presses the record button on the SpeechMike with the study selection study dialog open, the recording will start with the currently highlighted study as the target

 

Foot Pedal

Foot Pedal Type None Select the type of the foot pedal device to use
Playback Mode Play/stop  
Rewind at Stop 2 Number of seconds to rewind the dictation when foot pedal playback stops
Rewind/Fast Forward Mode Steps  
Step Time 2 Each push of the rewind/FFW pedal advances the set number of seconds in the records
Hold Down Period 500 Rewind or fast forward to the beginning/end of the stream after holding down the pedal for the set number of milliseconds
Rewind/FFW Speed 10 Rewind/FFW speed in multiples of normal replay speed
