Configuring Multiple Monitors

The Desktop viewer has the ability to support multiple monitors which are able to run at different resolutions. Color monitors along with gray scale can also be mixed.

The monitor to the far left is always considered “Display View Monitor 1” as well as the Primary monitor. All other monitors remain in numeric order going from left to right. On the viewer’s Primary monitor, the left most screen of the viewer session will be displayed. This includes thumbnails, viewer prompts and other functions. The other monitors may also be set to display parts of the viewer session.

To change the monitor’s configuration:

  1. Select the Tools/Options

  2. Select Frames/Monitor Configuration.

To change the primary monitor assignment:

  1. Under Monitor settings, select the Monitor #1 dropdown

  2. Select the new primary monitor

Other monitors will be listed as “Display Viewer on Monitor #n”.

To disable a monitor:

  1. Click to toggle the enabled icon from enabled   to disabled .

Note: The primary monitor cannot be disabled. In order to disable, a new primary monitor must be defined.
