Series Reconstruction

From a selected series, the viewer can generate a new series in an orthogonal view. The new series exists for the duration of the viewer session and can be displayed and manipulated like any of the study's original series.

To generate an alternative view,

  1. Insert a series into an available image frame
  2. From the Tools menu, select Series Reconstruction and select one of the following options:
    1. X-axis cross-section series - Generate a new series along the source series' x-axis
    2. Y-axis cross section series - Generate a new series along the source series' y-axis
    3. Both cross section series - Generate two new series, on along the source series' x-axis and the other along the y-axis
  3. The new images appear as series in the thumbnail panel

Note: The reconstructed images are temporary series. They cannot be saved as presentation states or key images. They cannot be saved to the server. These images are dropped when the viewer session ends. To save presentation states and key images, use the Multiplanar reconstruction plugin or  volume 3D plugin to generate an exportable series.
