Installing the Desktop Viewer

Note: The Desktop Viewer requires a 64-bit PC and Windows 7 SP1 or later. Full hardware requirements and recommendations.

After successfully logging into an eRAD PACS server, use the following steps to install the desktop viewer. All Windows operations are shown for Windows 10 by default, but may vary slightly for different Windows versions.

1. For eRAD PACS eVolution (version 8, 9 and newer)

Expand the session menu in the upper right-hand corner
Select Download Desktop Apps
Run the downloaded eRADDesktopApps.exe

2. For eRAD PACS (version 7) with Desktop Viewer (version 8)

Select Download Viewer
Run the downloaded eradsetup.exe

Once the launcher application is installed, it automatically checks the eRAD PACS server for updated versions of the viewer application. When an update is available, the existing launcher application downloads and installs it.

Note: There are differences between Windows operating systems that may impact the information contained in this manual.

Uninstalling the Desktop Viewer

Open Control Panel
Select Uninstall Programs
Select eRAD Desktop Apps (for version 8 users) or eRAD PACS Viewer (for version 7 users)
Click Uninstall
Choose uninstall options (optional) then click OK
