Loading Images from the Thumbnail Panel

The thumbnail panel lists the available series and presentation group images. When displayed, the thumbnail panel appears across the top of the viewing area by default.

Loading Select Series

To load a select series from the thumbnail panel to an image frame:

  1. Click and hold the left mouse button
  2. Drag the thumbnail image to any image frame in the viewing area

To load a select series from the thumbnail panel into the first empty image frame:

  1. Configure the Default frame to load series setting to First available frame.
  2. Double-click on the thumbnail image

To load a select series from the thumbnail panel into the selected image frame:

  1. Configure the Default frame to load series setting to Select image frame. 
  2. Double-click on the thumbnail image. If there is no selected image frame, the series will be loaded into the first empty image frame.

Note: If the Persistent Frame Settings is enabled, the tile mode settings to an image frame will also be applied to any series dragged into that frame.

Auto Load Study

The auto-load study feature sets the viewer’s grid across all available monitors to accommodate all of the series, and then loads one series into each image frame from  the primary study only.

To auto-load all series in a single study:

  1. Double click the left mouse button on the thumbnail study header
  2. Select Layout/Stack/Auto load study

The auto-load session feature loads all series from all available studies into individual image frames.

To auto load all studies in a session:

  1. Select Layout/Stack/Auto load session
  2. Hold SHIFT and double click the left mouse button on the thumbnail study header

Loading Additional Studies

When a study has prior studies that were not loaded into the viewer session, a collapsed list appears at the end of the thumbnail panel's study list. Click to expand the list and the study headers of the unloaded studies appear. Click the study header and the study is loaded into the current viewer session.

To load a prior study into the current viewer session:

  1. Click the study list tab at the end of the thumbnail panel's study list. The study list expands to show the thumbnail headers of the unloaded relevant prior studies.
  2. Click the  graphic in the thumbnail panel's study header to load the study.
