Feature #35189 – Option to send today's date as Date Of Service with eligibility request

Summary

This enhancement to Insurance Eligibility introduces the option to send today's date as the Date Of Service in the 270 eligibility request.

Background

Previously, the system was sending the projected date of service with the eligibility request, which was not supported by all payers. With this change, the ability to configure a payer to send today's date or the actual date of service has been added to the Payer tables.

Feature Description

A SendDateOfService column has been added to both the EligiblePayers and the AvailityPayers table. When set to N the eligibility request will be sent with today's date of service. Contrarily, when set to Y, the eligibility request will be sent with the actual projected date of service.

Configuration Instructions

System Administrators must complete the following actions to enable this feature:

Changes to AvailityPayers Lookup Table

· Enable this feature by setting SendDateOfService to Y.

Changes to EligiblePayers Lookup Table

· Enable this feature by setting SendDateOfService to Y.
