About the RIS "Gold" Release
The eRAD RIS Development and Service teams are pleased to deliver a highly flexible, configurable, and robust solution to our customers.
To ensure optimum functionality, performance, and security, frequent updates are made available which all customers are encouraged to review and deploy in a timely manner.
What is the "Gold" Release?
To facilitate rapid and efficient delivery to our customers, the Service Team identifies one version of RIS as a RIS "Gold" Release that represents the recent release that is recommended for production use by all customers.

As new versions of RIS are commercialized, the Service Team reviews, configures, and ensures all personnel are trained on the new features, after which the gold release version is periodically updated. Note that customers may elect to upgrade to a new version sooner, in order to access updated functionality necessary for their workflow.
All customers are encouraged to review Release Notes for the latest versions of RIS as they are commercialized (especially those newer than the gold release) as part of their upgrade planning in order to understand how their workflows may be impacted, and reach out to the eRAD Service Team if you have any questions.
