Digital Forms

Feature #33815 – Display most appropriate answer when portals share a Digital Forms question

Summary

This enhancement to the Digital Form Editor adds the ability to display the most appropriate answer in a digital form when the same question appears in both the Patient and Referring portals.

Background

Previously, questions created via the Procedure Picker could be used by both the Patient and Referring Portal. A referring could create an order for an exam int the Provider Portal and answer one of these questions, and the patient viewing the order to schedule in the Patient Portal would see the answer from the referring portal and can update it. However, Digital Forms must map to either the Patient Portal or Referring Portal version of the question, and do not distinguish which is the most recent answer to the question.

The recently resolved Feature #30297 and Bug #32759 now allows these responses to be viewed and edited in digital forms.

Note that these answers may be different as changes made in one location will not be reflected in the other.

Feature Description

Since questions can be answered differently by the referring doctor and the patient, a new read-only Portal Question Recent Answer column has been added to the Digital Form Editor that prioritizes the patient response - it will always display the Patient Portal response if one exists, otherwise it will use the Provider Portal response.

The same question mapped to three sources.
