IVT/Precert

Feature #35972 – Alert User When Approved Precert Expiry Date is Before Scheduled Exam Date

Summary

This enhancement to IVT/Precert adds a popup alert if the approved precertification’s expiry date is before the scheduled exam date.

Background

Previously, when a user tried to set a precertification status to Approved with an expiry date in the past, the system would revert the status back to Required without providing any explanation for the change. Additionally, the system did not support the ability to alert the user if the scheduled exam was beyond the timeframe of the approved precertification.

Feature Description

With these changes, if the user tries to set a precertification status to Approved for an exam scheduled after the expiry date, the system will display an alert popup.

Additionally, the expiry date will be highlighted in red on the Billing Code Information section. When the user hovers over the text they will be presented with a tooltip with the same message shown in the popup dialog.

The popup and tooltip message will be visible from the Register, View/Edit, IVT and Schedule Order screens.
