Basic viewing steps

The server URL, User ID and password are supplied by your system administrator. First time users should follow these basic steps to view images:

1. Open your web browser.

2. Type the URL of the eRAD PACS server. The log in page is displayed.

3. After logging in, the default work list is displayed.

4. If your account has Open privileges, download and install the viewer. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, the system detects the missing viewer and prompts you to download it. If no prompt appears, manually download it by clicking the Download Viewer tab. After downloading the setup file, open it to install the viewer. After the viewer is installed, you can open a study.

5. To open a study into the viewer, left click on the folder icon , or click on the patient’s name.

Note: If you click on the folder icon, the study opens into the viewer. If you click on the patient’s name, the server looks for relevant prior exams for that patient. If prior exams exist, another work list is displayed. This work list contains current and prior exams for that patient and allows opening multiple studies into the viewer.

Note: To open multiple image studies into the viewer, click the check box to the left of each study you want to open. Then, click on the batch open folder icon, at the top of the work list table.
