When printing to a DICOM printer, click on DICOM in the print window and then on the settings button to display all of the default DICOM printing parameters as defined in the printer configuration file on the server. In most cases, the default settings are defined to work with the selected printer and changes should not be necessary.
There are times you may want to change a setting for a single print job. Modifying the parameters from this window changes them for the current print job. If you wish to make the change permanent, you must have the system administrator change the setting on the server.
The default print header (used on the print sheet) is set under Settings/Customize Settings/DICOM Fields. Change the default string by editing it in the print window using this procedure:
Click Print/Settings. This option is only available when printing to a DICOM printer.
Click on the session tab to show the default header. Modify or delete anything in the film session label field. Whatever appears in this field will appear at the top of the film. In order to appear on the film, the DICOM printer must support the field session label feature.
