The embedded speech recognition package consists of an installed version of one or more of the following applications and licenses:
Dragon Naturally Speaking and the eRAD PACS Dragon Naturally Speaking plug-in module.
SpeechMagic and the eRAD PACS SpeechMagic plug-in module.
To select the embedded engine as the preferred dictation software before using:
Open the Customize Setting window from the Settings menu
Select the External Reporting tab.
Select the speech recognition option from the list of configured engines.
Expand the Process Upon menu and select Open. The event appears in the Engine table next to the configured speech recognition option.
Enter your speech recognition profile's user account ID, password and other user information, if indicated.
Enter other settings required for your configured option, if necessary.
Click OK.
Each time the viewer opens, the plug-in starts the engine and logs in.
When speech recognition is enabled, the viewer transcribes dictated reports and displays the text in the full report panel. The text box at the bottom of the compact report panel displays the text as you speak as well. To see the complete text, open the full report panel. Text is displayed in the observation or addendum section, depending on the report state.
Some embedded solutions include a Speech Recognition menu at the top of the viewer.
