Linking image frames

Synchronized linking allows linked images to be panned, zoomed, flipped and rotated together. When applying image manipulations tools or window and level settings to one image frame, they are applied to all linked image frames.

To create a link group, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the link cursor mode button, .

  2. Move the cursor to the first frame you want in the link group.

  3. Drag the mouse to the second frame and release. A link icon appears in the top left corner of each frame.

  4. To add a third frame to the group, repeat the process, starting on either of the currently linked frames, and ending on the new frame.

  5. To create an independent link group, perform the same steps on two frames not belonging to any other link group.

To unlink a single series from a group,

  1. Select the frame you wish to remove from the link group
  2. Click on the link icon on the image, or click the Link item in the Cine menu.

To unlink all series in a link group,

  1. Select the frame you wish to remove from the link group

  2. Double-click the link icon on any of the linked images.

You can create up to 8 independent linked groups simultaneously. A frame belongs to a single link group. To connect a frame to a different group, remove the original link.

A shortcut exists for automatically linking series in the same planar orientation.

Additional link properties are available under Settings/Link Property, or from the Link toolbar. The Mirror setting sets the panning and rotation features to operate in opposite directions across the linked image frames. See the Mirrored Image Mode section for details. The Magic Glass setting results in a separate Magic Glass window in each of the linked image frames. The Unhook setting temporarily disassociated the link settings so you can apply an image manipulation tool to a single image frame.
