If you have a preferred layout template, you can define that template as the default for studies based on modality type. The layout manager then automatically applies the default template when loading a new study. To use another template, select it from the template list in the layout manager.
To define a default template, follow these steps:
Create the template and arrange the study for the desired look.
From the layout manager, click Save to store the template.
To make a template the default, click Settings/Customize Settings/Layout.
In the settings for list, select the modality type you want the default template to apply to, or select default to specify an overall default template. In the template section, select the template to use as the default for the modality type.
To prevent the layout manager from appearing each time a study is launched, set it to remain hidden until activated. The default for the layout manager is to display when the study loads. To change the display mode, click Settings/Customize Settings/Layout, and place a checkmark in the box labeled show layout manager to display it, or clear the checkmark to hide it.
