Some users select a cursor mode and want to use it until they select another cursor mode. Others want the viewer to automatically reset the cursor mode to the default mode after using the current mode.
You can specify whether the mode resets to the default mode, or stays in the selected mode. When clicking the mouse button, the cursor mode automatically resets to the default mode when you release the button. Hold down the ALT key while pressing the mouse button to make the cursor mode stay the same.
To configure the viewer so the cursor mode persists after applying any function, open the Customize Windows panel from the Settings menu, select the Settings tab and check the box labeled Keep Cursor.
