Stream | Sets the image downloading mechanism used by the viewer.
Available modes are: |
Show stream detailed information | Disabled | Viewer shows detailed information about the stream connection(s), when the mouse is over the stream indicator icon. See Stream Server Status |
Stream Logging | Disabled | Detailed logging for streaming communication |
Streaming Image Behavior | Show thumbnail | Determines how streaming images behave when they are not downloaded yet |

Create net dumps |
Enabled | Net dumps are created when the viewer encounters a network problem. As these errors have a tendency to happen multiple times in a row, the corresponding logs usually contain redundant information. Maximum age of unsent log files (in days) | 30 | Log files older than the specified age are automatically purged. If set to 0, log files are kept indefinitely. | ||
Maximum age of sent log files (in days) | 3 | Log files sent to the server are purged if they're older than the maximum age. If set to 0, sent log files are kept indefinitely. | ||
Maximum number of log files | 25 | If the number of log files in any category (session, crash, net) exceeds the maximum amount, the oldest log is purged. Set to 0 to allow any number of log files. Applied on a per category basis. |
General Settings | Default | Description |
Enable Standby Mode | Enabled | If the standby mode was enabled, the viewer won't be closed when the frames are clicked closed. The viewer will only be visible on the taskbar. |
Show Tooltips | Enabled | Tooltips are popup text strings that help identify the functions of a tool. When enabled, tooltips appear after you place the cursor over a button, field or gauge in the viewer. When disabled, no tooltips appear. |

Clear cache | None | None:
Cached data is not removed upon viewer exit or sign off.
Exit: Cached data is removed before exiting the viewer from the system tray. Sign Off: Cached data is removed when the user signs off the system or exits the viewer from the system tray. |

guidance from eRAD personnel.
Hybrid mode rendering | Default | Description |
Stream port overriding | -1 | Default value (-1) means the viewer will use the port defined on the server for streaming. |
Stream secure port overriding | -1 | Default value (-1) means the viewer will use the secure port defined on the server for streaming. |
Stream packet size | 0 | Define packet size in bytes. 0 value means auto packet size will be used. |
Streamed image base minimum size by ratio | 8.000 | Minimum first chunk size in relative size of full image. |
Streamed image base size in kilobyte | 3.000 | First chunk size in kilobyte of the minimum resolution image. This chunk has high priority. |
Streamed image base resolution | 256 | Minimum resolution of the image for the first chunk size calculation. If an image is less than this size, the viewer will request the base size of the image. |
Streamed image linear factor | 1.000 | Linear area factor of the first chunk size calculation. |
Streamed image exponent factor | 1.000 | Exponent area factor of the first chunk size calculation. |
DICOM only Herpa | Enabled | Configures the viewer to download only the DICOM data and important thumbnails in the Herpa. The viewer will reneder the missing thumbnails from the images. |
