Logging

Logging Settings Default Description File Path File Base Name
Create log file Enabled When enabled, the viewer will create a log file about user activity. %LOCALAPPDATA%\eRAD PACS Viewer\Logs log-<yyyy>-<mm>-<dd>--<24hr>-<min>-
.txt
WMI logging Disabled When enabled, the viewer will write WMI activity into the log file. %LOCALAPPDATA%\eRAD PACS Viewer\Logs log-<yyyy>-<mm>-<dd>--<24hr>-<min>-
.txt
Create crash log Enabled If the eRAD PACS viewer crashes, this setting allows the viewer to create a log file to help identify the problem. %LOCALAPPDATA%\eRAD PACS Viewer\Logs crashinfo-<yyyy>-<mm>-<dd>--<24hr>-<min>-
.txt

Create net dumps

Enabled Net dumps are created when the viewer encounters a network problem. As these errors have a tendency to happen multiple times in a row, the corresponding logs usually contain redundant information. Consider disabling net dump sending to preserve server storage and network bandwidth %LOCALAPPDATA%\eRAD PACS Viewer\Logs netDump-<yyyy>-<mm>-<dd>--<24hr>-<min>-
.txt
Maximum age of unsent log files (in days) 30 Log files older than the specified age are automatically purged.  If set to 0, log files are kept indefinitely.
Maximum age of sent log files (in days) 3 Log files sent to the server are purged if they're older than the maximum age.  If set to 0, sent log files are kept indefinitely.
Maximum number of log files 25 If the number of log files in any category (session, crash, net) exceeds the maximum amount, the oldest log is purged.  Set to 0 to allow any number of log files.  Applied on a per category basis.

Default value (-1) means the viewer will use the port defined on the server for streaming.

Stream secure port overriding -1

Default value (-1) means the viewer will use the secure port defined on the server for streaming.

Stream packet size 0 Define packet size in bytes.  0 value means auto packet size will be used.
Streamed image base minimum size by ratio 8.000 Minimum first chunk size in relative size of full image.
Streamed image base size in kilobyte 3.000 First chunk size in kilobyte of the minimum resolution image.  This chunk has high priority.
Streamed image base resolution 256 Minimum resolution of the image for the first chunk size calculation.  If an image is less than this size, the viewer will request the base size of the image.
Streamed image linear factor 1.000 Linear area factor of the first chunk size calculation.
Streamed image exponent factor 1.000 Exponent area factor of the first chunk size calculation.
DICOM only Herpa Enabled Configures the viewer to download only the DICOM data and important thumbnails in the Herpa.  The viewer will reneder the missing thumbnails from the images.
